bigcrush: Lester Bangs Apologizes I still have my mountains upon mountains of old release mailers from my music journalism days…..I still hold onto them because I still believe, much like Lester Bangs details here, that I will actually listen to them…..eventually. Okay, so, this is basically the best letter ever written, and also, I occasionally do listen to the mountain of CDs that were sent to me circa 2006 and that’s when I’m like, “Oh, THAT’S why everyone was telling me to listen to Magnolia Electric Co.!” (Related: I hear it’s CMJ-time!)
